The green lines are the force vectors, the yellow lines are the velocity vectors.

The small red cross is the Center of mass.

The green trailed rockets have escape velocity.

The red trailed have 80% of escape velocity,

these slow rockets will be back to the Earth.

Collapsing globular cluster with 300 stars

 

The starting velocity is zero for every stars, just the gravitation attraction moves the bodies. Some star leave the cluster, because the computing precision not enough in this example.

 

Distended globular cluster with 300 stars

 

The starting velocity is same length, but different directions for every stars. The masses of the stars are very small, to keep their linear steady motion. We can see a distended donut.

 

Earth, Moon (& Sun)

 

The Moon is orbiting around the Earth. The Sun is out of the screen and the Earth is stick to the screen.
