3.2  Menus

In this section, a brief description of commands of the Main menu and the popup menu are described.

 

3.2.1  Main menu

The Main menu is at the top of the main window:

 

 

3.2.1.1  File

The File menu contains the file operations:

 

 

3.2.1.1.1  New...

By the menu item New..., you can create a new System (with Groups and Bodies) in the dialog window Create new system/System properties. After this operation, the header in the main window will contain the system name (see System name). The short key of this command is Ctrl+N.

 

3.2.1.1.2  Open...

By the menu item Open..., an existing Gravity file (see Description of the grav file) can be loaded in the program. After this operation, the header in the main window will contain the system name (see System name). The short key of this command is Ctrl+O.

 

3.2.1.1.3  Save

By the menu item Save, the System (with Groups and Bodies) can be saved (see Description of the grav file). If there is no file name still defined (the header does not contain a file name), then the command Main menu/File/Save as... will be executed, otherwise the file is overwritten. The short key of this command is Ctrl+S.

 

3.2.1.1.4  Save as...

By the menu item Save as..., the System (with Groups and Bodies) can be saved under a new name.

3.2.1.1.5  Import...

By the menu item Import..., a file exported previously can be imported in the program (see Main menu/File/Export...). This file contains major data of the System and the Bodies.

3.2.1.1.6  Export...

By the menu item Export..., major data of the System and the Bodies can be exported, which external programs can also use or change to. The Gravity is able to reimport these files (see Main menu/File/Import...).

3.2.1.1.7  Properties...

By the menu item Properties..., the dialog window Default properties can be displayed.

 

3.2.1.1.8  <MRU files>

The <MRU files> (Most Recently Used) contains the maximum 4 files used lastly so that the file names used lastly are uppermost. By selecting these, the file will be immediately loaded so as if the command Main menu/File/Open... could have been used.

 

3.2.1.1.9  Exit

By the menu item Exit, you can exit the application.
